Nubuck boots by Orca Bay

Every boot in this collection is from Orca Bay. Nubuck is sanded grain leather with a short, fine nap, and oiled nubuck carries extra oils that help it cope with damp. It is a good leather for a casual boot that gets worn hard. Sand nubuck shows its age gently, and the slightly dusty finish suits country clothes better than a high shine would.

  • Chukka and dealer boots: the York chukka in sand nubuck on a rubber sole, and the Exmoor dealer boot in sand oiled leather.

Care

Can I polish nubuck?

No. Wax polish flattens the nap. Use a nubuck brush and protector instead.
