Personalised Walnut Valet Tray, Engraved Bedside Organiser

Pockets emptied onto the bedside table end up as a pile. This valet tray gives the phone, wallet, keys, coins and watch a place each, in a single piece of solid walnut, engraved with whatever you choose.

What you get

The tray is cut from solid walnut and finished with natural oil, so the grain shows rather than hides under lacquer. Walnut varies from light brown to very dark, and the figure runs differently through every board, so your tray will not look exactly like the one in the photographs. That is the point of real wood.

It measures 30 x 20 x 1.5 cm, about the footprint of a sheet of A4 paper. Buyers of trays like this often find them smaller than they expected, so check that against your bedside table or desk before you order. The layout has four compartments: a large bay down one side for a phone, two central sections for a wallet, coins or a watch, and a slim channel along the other edge for a pen.

The engraving

Every tray starts blank. Use the customiser on this page to add initials, a name, a date or a short message, and artwork if you want it, then drag, rotate and resize each element to sit exactly where you like. We laser-engrave it to order in our workshop in Crieff, Perthshire. The engraving is burnt into the wood, not painted or ink-filled, so it will not rub off or fade with handling.

Spell your text exactly as you want it to appear. We engrave what you type.

Who it suits

It is a sound choice for a man who has everything and loses all of it nightly. Initials and a date make it a birthday, retirement or anniversary gift; a surname and a house number suit a new home; a company logo works for corporate orders. For Father's Day, see our Father's Day gifts, and for the wider range, gifts for him and all our personalised gifts.

If you prefer a lighter wood, the same tray is available in acacia. Both are in our valet trays and organisers collection.
