The Orca Bay Sandusky ladies’ deck shoe combines traditional boat-shoe construction with a fresh Blue nubuck upper. Hand-stitched for a quality finish, it is a comfortable and practical choice for sailing, coastal holidays or casual summer wear.

The soft nubuck upper is complemented by traditional rawhide leather laces and rustproof eyelets. A cushioned EVA heel cup provides additional underfoot comfort, while the moccasin-style construction allows the shoe to settle comfortably around the foot.

Underneath, the off-white rubber sole has a siped, razor-cut tread designed to provide reliable grip on wet surfaces. It is also non-marking, making the Sandusky suitable for use on boat decks as well as ashore.

Washing instructions

Place the shoes in a washing bag or pillowcase and wash using a mild detergent at no more than 30°C. After washing, stuff them with paper to help retain their shape and allow them to dry naturally. Do not place them on a radiator or use direct heat.

1. Brush Off Surface Dirt & Dust

• Start with the rubber side: Gently rub the surface in a circular motion to lift dirt and dust.
• Use the bristle side for deeper cleaning: Lightly brush in the same direction as the nap to remove stubborn grime and restore texture.

2. Removing Stains from Nubuck

For Light Stains & Scuffs:

• Use a nubuck rubber fingered eraser/brush (or a clean pencil eraser) to gently rub away small marks.

• Dampen a clean microfiber cloth with a small amount of water and gently rub the entire shoe to prevent water spots.
• Stuff the shoes with cedar shoe trees and allow them to air dry naturally (never use a radiator or direct heat).

For Oil or Grease Stains:

• Sprinkle cornstarch or talcum powder over the stain and leave it overnight to absorb the grease.
• The next day, brush the area gently with a nubuck brush.
